Morgan recently claimed that Meghan was ‘hated’ by most of her fellow castmates in Suits and that she has a reputation for ‘brusquely putting down those who cross her’. He also alleged that Meghan hates being called ‘Duchess’ because it reminds her of Princess Diana and said she enjoys being photographed topless because it helps her keep control of her image.
But despite his controversial claims about Meghan, Morgan insisted that he likes her – although he admitted she is ‘no feminist icon’. In an interview with The Sun, Piers said: She was always pleasant to me — as far as I know we never had any run-ins on set.
I think some people were jealous of her success and popularity but there was no reason for me to dislike her — I didn’t know anything about politics or feminism back then so it wouldn’t have been a factor anyway! ‘I do like her though. I don’t mind admitting now that I did get carried away with my anti-Meghan rants last year when she first started dating Harry and they became engaged.
‘I thought her romance would be over before it began after hearing all these stories about how unhappy she was at home, how miserable life was in Toronto, how much she hated being part of showbiz royalty. I thought if you were going to marry into one of Britain’s biggest royal families you should love it and embrace it. ‘But now she seems very happy and settled.
It appears that Meghan loves living in London, loves being married to Prince Harry, and loves doing charity work.’ Speaking about reports that suggested Meghan had fallen out with several members of her family including sister Samantha Grant, Piers added: ‘She might not be everyone’s cup of tea but let’s remember she is still new to all of this — only seven months into marriage and barely two years since leaving university.
Though he once famously declared himself ‘Team MEGHAN’ during her feud with Kate Middleton, journalist Piers Morgan made it clear during a recent interview that while he may support certain things that Meghan Markle stands for, he doesn’t believe she is a feminist icon.
The Good Morning Britain presenter made headlines earlier this week when he appeared on BBC Radio 4′s Today program and opened up about his relationship with Duchess of Sussex Meghan following their falling out over their differing political views in 2016.

Always been a huge fan … always will be. The former Good Morning Britain presenter and senior journalist Piers Morgan has finally admitted that he does not ‘hate’ Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. Responding to Meghan’s fan on Twitter, Piers Morgan tweeted:

In an interview with CNN earlier in April 2019, Piers Morgan had said that he did not hate Meghan and said there was no feud between them at all. He added: I’ve never met her before, but I think she’s done a fantastic job so far. Adding further: She’s done exactly what they need to do when they’re thrust into something like that – get out there, meet people.
However, during his chat with the US news network, CNN Mr. Morgan referred to Ms. Markle as ‘Meg’, which caused some confusion among royal fans who are used to hearing her called by her official title. I mean obviously, you see pictures of them walking downstairs together, or having tea together, or sitting next to each other.
But honestly, we just haven’t seen much of that yet because she’s just getting up and running on all cylinders here in London.’ Speaking about their relationship, Mr. Morgan also revealed how long ago he tried to set up a meeting with her over coffee after being invited over by Kensington Palace last year – but they still haven’t got around to arranging it yet! It would be nice if we could sit down and have a cup of coffee one day.
