The couple married on November 18, 2008 in Costa Rica at the Santa Elena Estate with only immediate family present 8. In 2010 they welcomed their daughter, Liam James Tell, into the world . Now Lauren is content to focus on her family and her lifestyle brand, LC Lauren Conrad. I am happiest when I’m with my husband and our two kids, she tells Us Weekly.
I love being able to give them a childhood that I didn’t have. My parents were too busy chasing their own dreams to be there for me and my siblings. But that time spent parenting is what I find most rewarding now.
I wear my heart on my sleeve
I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve, which can be both good and bad. Good, because it means I’m an open person who is willing to share my feelings. Bad, because it means I’m sometimes too emotional and people can take advantage of that. But overall, I think it’s a good thing. It means I’m a compassionate person who cares about others. And that’s something I’m proud of.
There are some things in life you’ll never understand until you’re there—I know firsthand what it feels like to care for someone with chronic illness or know what it’s like to experience the loss of a loved one. But those hard times don’t define me.
I want my kids to feel safe no matter where they are, but I also want them to understand the world around them so they have the knowledge and tools they need if they ever encounter anything unfamiliar or uncomfortable. I hope they find their passion early on and stick with it. If not, I hope they try everything.
If they do decide to pursue their passion though, I hope they never give up on it—even when things get tough. Sometimes all it takes is one little push from somebody else to keep going. For example, I’ve always been told that just because your voice might not sound as great as Whitney Houston doesn’t mean you can’t be just as successful singing.

A red carpet moment I’ll never forget
Lauren Conrad and William Tell’s red carpet moment at the 2014 Emmys was one I’ll never forget. The couple walked hand-in-hand down the red carpet, posing for photos and chatting with reporters. It was clear that they were very much in love and completely comfortable with each other.
Seeing them together made me realize that I wanted what they had: a lasting, loving relationship. Lauren Conrad’s family album with William is something we can all aspire to have, both as individuals and as couples.
For example, when Lauren gave birth to her son Jameson, she learned that her husband has two tattoos of their children’s names on his arm. What a beautiful way to share your love!
Lauren also shared some personal tidbits about her life with us. One such moment includes Lauren’s pregnancy, which seemed like it came out of nowhere because Lauren didn’t know she was pregnant until the third trimester.
She told Us Weekly, I felt terrible because I thought it was just heartburn. Another memorable moment for Lauren included not telling anyone about her pregnancy until week eight because she wanted to keep it a secret from everyone until then.
The funniest thing my son says
The funniest thing my son says is ‘I’m excellent at Tetris.’ I don’t know where he gets it from, but it cracks me up every time. Lauren Conrad told Us Weekly exclusively. I also love when he says ‘daddy’ in a British accent. It’s so cute!
