Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- A graduate degree from a recognised university.
- A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on a computer is also required.

- Maximum Age: 32 years

Selection Procedure
The selection process has four stages:
Stage I – Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)
- Computer-Based Test
- 120 Questions (English, General Awareness, Reasoning & Maths)
- 120 Marks, 120 Minutes
- 25% negative marking
Minimum qualifying marks:
- General: 60 marks
- Reserved Categories: 54 marks
Stage II – Main (Descriptive) Examination
- Essay, Letter, Grammar, and Translation
- 100 Marks, 120 Minutes
- Minimum 50% (General) and 45% (Reserved)
Stage III – English Typing Test (Qualifying)
- 10-minute typing test
- Minimum speed: 35 wpm
Stage IV – Interview
- 15 Marks
The final merit will be prepared based only on marks obtained in the main examination and the interview.

- SC/ST/PwBD: ₹1300
