Holy Quran Reading

What is Holy Quran? This week, for the first time, Christians and Muslims on two continents have gathered under one roof to celebrate what they believe to be one of the world’s most important books. But while Muslims praise it as the divine word of God, they disagree about what the text says about God.
Who is God? Muslims believe that God is a single being who is all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfect. To Muslims, he has no gender, no age, and no beginning.
Muslims believe that their God is one of three celestial beings with different functions, often referred to as the guardians. God the father is Al-Rahman, the exalted father, and God the Son is Al-`Aziz, the benevolent son. God the Mother is Al-Israal or the she-dragon.
So how did this fundamental set of beliefs come about? They are said to have come about by the Prophet Muhammad himself.
The Islamic prophet went up to the summit of Mount Arafat in Mecca and recited a couplet to the heavens: “My Lord and my God, Who will guide me to the Straight Way? And Who will lead me to the Presence of the Throne of Justice? Who will guide me to the Straight Way?”
