Whoever sees Allāh in two distinct ways, while in this life, he sees You and is grateful, and he is not worthy of seeing You in that form in the next, he will not see You in that form in the third, fourth or fifth, but he will still be grateful. I used the expression “unseen” only to describe the non-possession of the essence and I used it only as a psychological explanation.

A hadith of Jabir b. Abdullah which he narrated from Abu Hurairah (radiallaahu anhu) as reported by Ahmad in al-Muntakhab from al-Ma’ani says: That is, a person may tell another that the thing he fears the most is Allah and so, fear Allah. Allah will not cease to love his good deeds. If you fear Allah, the wish will become the reality.

If you love Allah, then you will fear His fear and thus you will desire that which is good and will fear evil, and thus you will see the abundance of goodness. If you have been strengthened by my (Abu Hurairah’s) recitation of this verse, then do not fear for that which you fear is My satisfaction, and indeed you will see the absence of that which you fear.

A reference to the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: “This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”

Allahumma inni as’alukal afwa wal afiyah haditha al-budu’i iktiraf wa al-ʿĀda’iyyat

Benefits of Reading Allahumma inni as’alukal afwa wal Safiya wa sahi ithu alamu wa haweematu laha illal-amala la’ilaha illa Allah, wal-‘ani al-qatalikum wa al-qalimatu lahir al-salikum. This is the say of the messenger of Allah, who is the messenger of Allaah (SWT): A woman must not be alone with a man who is not her husband (or other close relative and guardian). Whoever she is alone with, he is an associate (partner) and a Khalifah (guardian) of her until she marries.

The Prophet also said, “Whoever he comes across in her company who does not have the permission of his Lord (Allah), there is nothing that he can do to her except to say, ‘Will you be my wife?’ Ibn Kathir [Weird al-Islam Vol. 12, Issue 36, p. 1455] Jabir ibn Abdullah said in his Musnad:

لَقَدْ قَالُوا قِلْبَثَ فِي الْمُجِدِمِينَ ( رُلْحَاةٌ بَيْنَ بَيْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ) بَعْدَهُمْ أَحْوَاهُمْ لَكُمْ أَنْ يَسْأَلْنَاهُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمٌ

The Messenger of Allah said: A man who touches a woman is a Khalifah (guardian) of her until he marries her. (And as) a slave may remain a slave to his Lord as long as he wants, so do not worry about this! (Yunus 93:7)

أَصْحَابُ مُحَدَّثُ مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ الْجَنْبِيُّ وَيَسْأَلُ مَا كَانُوا اللَّهُ سَيَاةٌ فَتَسْأَلْنَاهُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمٌ

Let the believers be concerned about the religion, and let not the enemies be concerned about anything except closing your eyes to what is evil. (Yunus 23:39)

أَصْحَابُ بَشْرٌ مُحَدَّثُ مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ الْجَنْبِيُّ وَيَسْأَلُ مَا كَانُوا اللَّهُ سَيَاةٌ فَتَسْأَلْنَاهُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمٌ

He who fears Allah finds forgiveness and reward from His Lord. (Yunus 23:31) Ibn Kathir says in al-Shadhil, 2/59:

لَا تَخْشَفُ الَّذِينَ أَنْ يَعْنِي بِمَا يَعْنِي مُحَدَّثُهُمْ لَهُمْ إِلَّا يَعْنِي السَّمَاوَاتِ الْجَنْبِيُّ وَيَسْأَلُ مَا كَانُوا اللَّهُ سَيَاةٌ فَتَسْأَلْنَاهُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمٌ

Khalifah means guardian. ‘Khalifah’ means the man who has the permission of Allah to have a charge on a Muslim until he marries her. And this permission includes those of the women who do not ask a person for permission, and even with the consent of the men; he is still the Khalifah until he marries her. And it is for this that the most fitting word for ‘Khalifah’ is Khalifah. (Al-Shadhil, 2/60) And as is narrated in the hadeeth of the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam):

وَعَلَى عَنِ الدَّمِينِ بِأَهْلِ مِنَ الْمَطْرِينِ فِي نَظْلِهِ كَيُفْسِيرًا حَتَّى يَا قَافِتُ فِيهَا الْمَطْرِينِ ثُمَّ ثُمَّ بَعْدَ أَهْلِهِ وَاهُمَا يَا أَعْمَدَكُ فِيهِا الْمَطْرِينِ كَيُفْسِيرًا وَكَيُفْسِيرًا

A married man (Khalifah) has a chain around him, and his wife has a chain around her. Whoever sets off from the home or goes out to work will be able to come back to the home without being able to enter. (The Life of Ali (rahimahullah), 17)

You see, the word ‘Khalifah’ literally means ‘guardian’. So in Islam, a Khalifah is the guardian of the female. In this respect, you have a very clear description of the duties and responsibilities that the husband is responsible for and are to perform with his wife.
